Bunny Question

unhappy cat in a bunny suit I painted this bunny and when I started to list it - my daughter started laughing at my idea that it is a bunny. She says it is an unhappy cat in a bunny suit. She showed me pictures of cats on the internet and bunnies - (still laughing) and I'm sorry but I'm not getting why she thinks it looks like a cat. So, I'm asking - does it look like a cat in a bunny suit? Did I do the eyes the wrong shape? Should I just start over and leave this one alone - or is it close to bunniness with a few changes? Thanks - I don't always know how to get someone who sees something wrong with it - to explain what needs to be different about it - I can always add more paint if I know what to do with it after all! - Cricket Diane

Actually, I'm not thinking bunnies right now, but a very ... um .... 'special' garden entry for a Small Format art group theme.

Bunny Question

Did anyone see Wallace and Gromit's Curse of the Were -Rabbit? And could bunnies be the next target for our group-deranged-brain-do-strange-things-to-innocents? I'm right there plotting with you Maggie! Chris ps agree with all the above re: bunny's eyes, ears and length of legs. Most important is the placement of the eyes - rabbit eyes are on the sides of their heads so they have good all round vision (they can see what's going to eat them.) I think he would look good made into a stuffed toy or into the cat in a rabbit suit idea.

Bunny Question

At first glance: A puffy-faced bunny. After you mentioned it might look like a cat - now all I can see is a cat! :) One mistake most artists make: pointing out what they think might be "wrong" with their work. (Most people won't see your "mistakes" until you tell them about them.) Don't be so hard on yourself! I think the bunny is cute as is! P.S. Love that "alien" bunny, packratmel! :) Have fun, -Jendria

Bunny Question

Definitely correct on the eyes on the sides of the head. Remember the general fact from some nature program eons ago --- simple rule (probably too simple): preditors have front facing eyes for the hunt and the chase; prey, eyes on the side to be able to see if they're on the menu. Which leaves the question about chameleons -- the ones with independant rotating eyeballs. Are they truly as confused as they appear?

Bunny Question

Sorry, Mel. Didn't realize I'd Bwa haa haa'd out loud. :) Definitely a lot of shady thoughts swirling around. Does this make me a bad person? (asking with the widest, innocent "Keane painting" like eyes she could muster)
