Future Projects: Ideas, Suggestions, Etc.

Please share your ideas, thoughts, constructive comments, etc., about future projects here! If you've shared them in the 52 Card Deck discussion and want to relocate them here, that's great! I don't think whole posts need to be copied and pasted, but the ideas and suggestions themselves in simple form would be most excellent, so we can start a list we can all refer to easily! On your mark... ...... get set..... ...............go! -- JeanneY -- Edited by jeanze*art at 07/12/2008 8:52 AM PDT -- Edited by 3inavwbus at 08/11/2008 6:01 PM PDT

Re: Future Projects: Ideas, Suggestions, Etc.

Cue up Twilight Zone Theme. I was halfway through a post in response to your recently listed doodle, Matthew, asking if I won one, would you mind if I colored it. No lie. Then Spike (Resident Evil in Feline Form) lept on to my desk, knocked over a stack of CDs, which scared him into leaping on to my keyboard, and the post was lost, and I lost my train of thought 'cause I went to chase him down to toss him unceremoniously out of my room for causing such chaos, at which point I realized I needed to thaw chicken for dinner and... Yeah. So... I think a coloring book is a FABULOUS idea. The images ACEO-sized on a page about 1/2" wider around top, right and bottom, and a full 1" on the left and spiral bound. That way, the art could be completed, then cut to final size, mounted, whatever. Honestly, Matthew, I can see an entire book of your doodles... upload to Cafe Press and market as a children's and adults ACEO Coloring Book. You know. In your spare time. It's a brilliant idea, but time has a hold on me at the moment. -- JeanneY

And a coloring book incorporating art from MANY artists is a fabulous idea! Not just one with Matthew's art. Just for the record!!! :) -- JeanneY

Jeanne, I'm glad you said you would like to color Matthew's doodles too. :^O Rick, the neat thing about doing a coloring book is that it would only require one-color printing (black) and that would cut down on the expense greatly. Char

Jeanne - I wouldn't mind if you colored a doodle if you won it, as long as you posted the results of the coloring somewhere in the group... The ink isn't waterproof, though, so I would say only use dry media... Matthew

Re: Future Projects: Ideas, Suggestions, Etc.

I am looking around for the old deck threads to let folks know I have sold out of all the ACEO decks I purchased to sell. The last one sold just before Christmas. I know it may have been challenging for several of us to sell decks at the same time, but anyway, no more from me. Although I am glad they sold, in a way I'm sorry to see them all go, since they are just so cool. Anyway, all gone :-) -- Diane Visit My eBay Store: Diane Weber Quilt Art http://dwquiltart.blogspot.com/
