I recently sold a saxophone on ebay and used the fedex shipping label on ebay to ship the item. As I just started selling, my funds weren't available instantly so I clicked the option to be charged when my funds were available for the shipping label. When my funds became available, I never got charged on paypal for the shipping label, but just today I checked my invoice fees and it had jumped from around $90 to $134. I thought there must of been something wrong so I checked my invoice fees and saw that I was being charged $44 for my fedex shipping label. In the details of the fee, it said my label was 51lbs and had a bunch of other charges, but my label was only 18lbs and the shipping label cost only around $24, probably less. I called ebay and they told me it was a mistake on their part and credited me back money so the charge of the shipping label was back to $24. But as I said the label was probably less so I should of gotten back more money. Ebay would have charged me the extra money if I never saw the mistake, so I wanted to warn my fellow sellers out there. They ebay specialist told me that fedex shipping labels sometimes have problems because they are still working on it. So when you use Fedex, make sure you check how much you get charged.

I was sent a invoice from ebay for 790$ after printing fedex label for shipping a 15 lb bicycle. Initial cost was 117$ for overnight shipping. The invoice stated the bike weighed 176 lbs. ebay is prob well aware of all the overcharges. I wouldnt have noticed it if hadnt been such a large amount of money. No telling how much money they have stolen from sellers by all these add on charges.

Fedex bill always gets added at the end of each month. Its not like USPS where it's instant or same week.

Was it a mistake on eBay's part or Fed-ex?
They posted five years ago; they last visited the forums in 2013. So I wouldn't wait for an answer.

Have been selling on eBay since 2002, over 1,000 packages sent. Most of my FedEx SmartPost charges have been close to estimate over the last year, but in my April invoice, I have 5 packages out of 6 that were charged nearly 30% higher than the estimate. This is definitely not a dimensional weight thing, since all of my packages are smaller than 6x6x6. I take great pride in ensuring accurate weights and dimensions for all of my shipments. I feel ripped off and will no longer be shipping FedEx through eBay. I don't have the time or patience to deal with trying to get a refund.

You don't get billed until FedEx delivers the package and sends their bill to eBay. eBay then adds it to your monthly invoice. Be sure to check your eBay invoices for accuracy and keep track of the pending FedEx charges to make sure you're covered in PayPal when the shipping fees finally get charged.

took the package to the fedex store myself and even had them weight and measure it to make sure it was correct and the label and price were good. then ebay invoice adds $60 total comes out to 87 for $95 worth of items sold for month i did not pay on the dead line because i called and the idiot i talked to on ebay acted like i was just trying to get out of paying my fees and rudely transferred to the people to take payment. I end up going to hospital for 20 days and i finally get time to call ebay again and they add 15 charge for not paying on time but they sneakily put it under subscriptions and dont put anything else about what it is for. so now total bill is $102
this is a **bleep** JOKE. ebay community is more like ebays victims of **bleep** and theft.
