How to change my name on ebay?

hi.

when i was making an ebay account, i wrote a nick name instead of my full name and surname.

how can i change it?

p.s. i don't mean the user id, i'm talking about my real name.

Hi there! I'd love to know the answer also. I've done everything listed in this thread so far. Either the options given are no longer available in the current interface or they just didn't work. I changed my name on my shipping address and it still says the other name when I log in.

Did you click on My account - Personal Information, under email and contact information, click on Registered name address and phone number?

Why is it so hard to change the name? The way to change it now in 2019 seems to be different and more difficult. I don't know how to do it - can someone please help?

I'm currently on hold... its been 50mins that eBay support are trying to figure this out.  Now as I am typing this message the rep came back on the line and said this will be escalated.  Someone will contact me with a resolution. They can figure out why my Hi name can  not be changed. oh well.
