Maybe there's something that's not right with the counters on the site right now, but I just noticed that about half my items have more watchers than the number of views it's showing me. Some of these are items I keep listed all the time, that I stock pretty deep and have sold here for years, so they have been listed and renewed for several years, so maybe that has something to do with... I'm not sure. It's just something that I've never noticed before this afternoon... am I the only one, or is this a fairly common thing?

Two reasons:
1) you can watch an item without viewing it by clicking the heart icon in a list of items
2) views are on a rolling 30 day now, and bot views are eliminated. So for example someone views and watches an item on day 1, you have 1 view and 1 watcher. On day 32, you look, and no one else has viewed the item, you would have 0 views but the original watcher would remain since the view dropped off but the watcher did not.

Well, it seems it's more than just listings that roll over that are showing odd readings as far as the counter goes. I have a listing I put up this afternoon that says it has had zero views, but it has one person watching it.... eBay needs to fix the counters on the site.
