Hello all. This is my first post to this discussion thread. I've been selling part time for a short time, and doing OK I think.
Recently Ebay has decided to troll me and take a Buy It Now item and change it over without authorization from me, to accept best offers. It is quite annoying, and seemingly consistant with one particular item.
My reason for this post is to ask if there is a way to stop them from doing this?
Thanks in advance

All this does, is frustrate me even more with these people. Seriously... who comes up with this garbage..
Some meeting in Ebay corporate:
"Oh I have a great idea.. lets take an item for sale, and make a low-ball offer perfectly viable. AND NOT ASK THE SELLERS PERMISSION!"
idiots.

They know when you put the listing up, you just forgot to add the best offer button, so they thought they would help you out by adding it for you.
This is something they have been doing for a little while and all you can do is revise the listing to remove it.
Right now, there is no way of stopping it that I know of.
They also like to change listings to free shipping, so watch out for those.

Thanks for letting me know about them changing the shipping. For giggles and grins I went in and checked, three of the items I just listed less than an hour ago, had "best offer" on them. Never allowed it when I made the listing.

I had an item a while back and it was set up for calculated shipping because is was a little heavy. I got excited when it sold, until I found out they had changed it to free shipping.
I wish they would leave our listings alone and let us add best offer or free shipping if we want it.
It kind of sucks when you have to check your listings everyday just to make sure Ebay hasn't changed them.
