Is that puppy a Bichon Frise?
Too late now; you love it.
I know everyone is upset about the decrease in TRS Plus benefits, and the .15% in fees. Understandable.
How many of your buyers never saw your items because ebay was experiencing technical problems? Ever do a search on ebay and got clogged down with ads?
Less ads will mean more viewers, more buyers, more sales.
If they are using the warehouses to do what I think they are....Let me put it this way, if you are a seller of China or Mexico manufactured items, I'd be stocking up now.

@keziak yeah i hear u. my backend of the PO for the bulk mail says the same thing. and on the front end of the PO, they tell everyone to go to the back if they have over 10. However if they have that 5630, anyone can come to the lobby with that and they will accept it and scan it.
basically unless u were mean to the front people before, if u walk in with a 5630, then u can bring 60 packages a day and they are fine with it. just sort out the state u are in, (they like that too, cause then they just simply scan that one paper and dump it all in the appropriate back window thing behind the counter
Well this is beating a dead horse but for 20% I was willing to drag all the mail into the lobby. For 10%, not really when I have the option to just pull up to the dock, drop off the boxes, gone in 60 seconds.

@annindallas im not worried about the .15% a month. but what i am worried about is the other part @annindallas can i have $150 every month from u? i thought not. that is the problem i have. that is what i will lose from the 20 to 10% TRS plus change, and i am small compared to most big guys. those people are really upset now but dont have time to be on the forum
but we all have to deal with it i guess. .... the rest i am fine with. again, another thing to raise the price to the consumer, which raises the FVF to ebay, which causes me to argggg

I feel lied to this whole time. I'm so angry that I pay for a store & if I'm correct, my fees will be higher than non store owners. I only have a store because in my position now, I need the vacation option.
You all know I'm not well & now, I'm taking care of my paralyzed father in law, mother in law had triple bypass & not doing well so I need the store right now. I'm thinking of liquidating and getting out of Dodge. I was just going to ramp up my listing but I doubt it now.
I'm usually a huge eBay supporter/cheerleader. I almost always defend eBay but they've gone too far this time with their lies. The weekly chat has been nothing but lies.
They flew certain sellers out there, put them up in fancy hotels etc... & this is what they came up with. Alan & Trinton have lied, lied lied. How do you two sleep at night???
I'm angry as a wet cat right now!
Wait a minute.....ebay flew sellers out to ask them what they would like to see ebay do and all they came up with was a fee hike? ebay could have done that themselves.

Store FVF 9.5% on most cats
TRSP discount 10%
Oh boy 😞
I can think of a few other expletives that more clearly convey my feelings about this "update".
I usually see anywhere from $20.00 to $30.00 discount every month on FVFs due to TRS+. Reducing the discount is tantamount to reaching in my pocket and grabbing another $10.00-$15.00 each month.
Thieves.
What's more, I usually rolled that discount into extra listings ... posting more listings at $.20 each to equal the dollar amount of my discount. Guess what ... NEVER AGAIN. Ebay will not get another extra listing fee from me, EVER.

I was part of a half.com focus group just like that, about half.com, but they didn't listen to our input.

Pick a region and your days. ^^^I have read the FAQ and I do not understand how this is better than regular calculated shipping. It certainly could help avoid some of the shipping calculator issues that keep coming up with FedEx or UPS, but eBay denies that those problems exist. Is it more relevant to sellers with certain specific merchandise, or who use freight? Can you give an example?
Hi partial*eclispe - rate tables are different because they allow you to state you own shipping costs / charges - rather than relying on eBay's calculated shipping to calculate on your behalf. You will have more control to specifically state charges your buyers see depending on where they are located - which helps avoid any isues with over / under charging.. Does this help?

Welcome to the party Greg 😉
Question ... how will the flat rate tables integrate with combined shipping rules, if at all?
Same question re Business Policies?

Once again eBay is penalizing the sellers that are reputable and following the rules. Lowering our top rated seller discount and bumping the shipping requirements is not going to be an incentive to be a better selller. As always there is no penalty for the buyers that abuse the system or try to take advantage of the sellers. Wish someone would invent a better mouse trap.

Promoted ads do nothing nada zip zilch for the one of a kind seller. They can only be used for multi-quantity listings.
And what happens when you have multiple sellers paying for promoted listings for the same items? Who gets top billing (if they all pay the same rate)?
They are beta testing some new promoted listing options. I don't know how much is allowed to be said about that.
Patricia is correct. We are exploring expanding promoted listings to single quantity items, but don't have anything to announce yet. Stay tuned for me info later this year. And thanks for selling on eBay

Do not read it as it will just make your frustrated and angry. It is amazing they are squeezing every penny out of the sellers yet they cannot even do the basic functions a $70 ecommerce store can. I just called and asked about having items that go with products at the bottom of the ad so we can cross sell and it is not possible on ebay. I know i could easily increase my business if this was available on Ebay as it is on Amazon and just about every other website. I have no problem with them asking us to do better service wise but then taking away the discount is just ridiculous and telling us it is for our own good is priceless!
02-28-2017 08:39 AM
the regular listings appear before the promoted when you search my products.
@threshold.sales.group wrote:Basically, just a group of fee increases.
The promoted listings in my experience have become steadily less effective the longer the program has been in effect, but YMMV.

The shipping thing has me confused too. Their example doesn't help.
Does it mean I could have free shipping to those close to me and charge for those in Zone 8? That might be interesting. Include Zone 4 pricing in the "free shipping" listing and have the difference for Z4 vs Z8 as the charge shown to everyone in Zones 5 or higher.
If that's how it can be used, it could be interesting.
Hi Lintbrush - yes you are right. Rate tables will allow you to customize your shipping charges by zones / region - so charge low or free shipping to neighbor regions and higher costs where approriate to zone further afield - to match how your carrier might charge you. You'll therefore be more price competitive where ship costs are lower, and not risk under charging buyers that further afield..

It will help those with multiple shipping locations......i.e. warehouses on east/west coast....I haven't studied it, but presumably when they set up their zones, the buyer zip will "chose" the closest shipping location and quote that shipping cost........ i.e. Cal buyer will get charged from Cal warehouse.....as opposed from the NY warehouse. I can see that's going to be really valuable for big sellers.......
Also, I think.......not enough coffee yet........there may be a way to build in free shipping on a "local" level and then charge extra for furthest zone shipping........ i.e. Free to NE, +$5 to west coast......
Hi dhbookds - yes you got it. Certainly helpful in cases of mulyiple shipping locations. Thanks for helping with the explanation.
