I don't believe it is to hang a firearm. I'm also not sure it isn't a
decorative piece of curtain rod hardware made in India and sold at some
place like Home Goods. You see a lot of this stuff coming from those
stores.
I think you need to do a lot of research. I have a repro coin that looks
just like this that was given out as a premium for something about ten
