I just bought a $10.99 BIN item that ships from Louisiana. I live in New
Jersey, but $1.00 was added to my total at checkout for "Sales Tax." Is
this how it works now? Charged extra for sales tax in another state?
Insurance is the seller's concern, not yours. If an item is broken
during shipment, it is "Not As Described" for sure because you didn't
bid on a broken item! If you file a "not as described" claim with eBay
the seller should email you a return label...
When I've returned items on a "buyer's remorse" basis, I definitely DID
have to pay return shipping, and the original shipping cost was deducted
from the refund.
