I think you may have a "field art" piece made from a circa WW1 German
artillery shell casing, probably a 9 Cm Kanone C 73 (and yes, it is

The parachute jump wings pictured are Brazil military issue.Major easily
seen differences in the number of chute canopy panels and the obvious
