distinction between comic books and graphic novels is because most
comics contain advertising. Granted, there are a lot that don't, but
it's just easier to exclude them as a class.

The battery would be my guess - there are two restrictions on
international shipments (at least for the USPS). The battery has to be
installed in the equipment (no spares) AND the destination country has
to allow it. This also applies to APO/FPO ship...
