As of December 2023, why is eBay now only giving AI Chat and email
contact with their customer service. No ability to talk to a human over
the phone, even during eBay's business hours.

It appears that eBay no longer offers human customer service to sellers.
Their automated bot takes the seller into an infinite circle and may
only offer chance to send an email.There is no promise from eBay to
respond to that email sent by seller.
It appears that eBay is adjusting a member's ability to speak via phone
to an agent.EBay forces a member to work thru a chat bot only to be

Response overlooks buyer behavior of "browsing" items of a particular
type (category) that generates impulse buys. Not all buyers begin a
search with a specific figure, doll, scale model in mind.
