I now find I have to click on the buyer's offer in a box to the left
which takes me to another screen to Accept/counter/Decline. It is an
extra step in the process and thus slows things down. I wish eBay had to
eat their own cooking....

Same here. It has been going on for over 24 hours. I've reported to
technical support (6/1) but have had no follow-up. They said it hadn't
been reported elsewhere and buried their head in the sand.
