I paid for an item 7 days ago, but have still not received shipping confirmation. Should I contact seller again or contact ebay?

How long is a reasonable timw to wait to recieve shipping confirmation for a purchased item?I purchased an item 4 days ago, and have yet to recieve any communication from the sellr.
