Brass object in its custom box. Appears to be quite old by construction of box. No. 26 on top of box. I see no identifying markings on brass. My impression is that it is a specific instrument of measure or tool for specific item. I am really stumped....

I believe this is an original pen and ink drawing of the famous Tom Tobin, as stated on back. It was purchased in the early 1970's in a shop in Manitou Springs CO. Can anyone tell me who the artist is? Many thanks.
