Sounds like you tried to do all you could but it also sounds like a
pretty complicated system - people are human, mistakes happen,
especially when you're doing a new route for a first time. I've done
deliveries before and people clutter up their home...
That's an easy enough solution - the seller should have taken a picture
of the serial number of the unit they sold or added some kind of marking
inside a cover or something so that's it's on them. You should be able
to return it. Either way get eBay ...
