Has anyone else been asked to give eBay a color photo of drivers license

When will eBay stop asking for more personal info, first we have to have a 1099 then full SSN and now full color photo of drivers license

I’m curious if anyone else is unhappy with buyers having a item held up four days and even then not paying, I keep thinking there could be another buyer that would pay immediately
