E Bay will issue a 1099 form to the IRS if you have over 200 sales and
over 20,000 dollars in sales. I don't know if they are required to do
that or if its voluntary. In order to do that they have to have an SSN

throw in the fact that E Bay also takes out sales tax on shipping IN
SOME STATES. Total the actual item sale price and shipping paid together
and see if the sales tax works out corre...
