I'd like to sell a product that is perfectly legal to buy and sell in
most states, restricted in some others, and totally illegal in a few.

Yes. I suppose one could quibble with whether or not a bear skin is
"something made from a bear," but if the situation is iffy, I'm not

Thanks, that was a good tip. Product I was considering is black bear
skins. I have seen them listed before on Ebay, but I don't think they
are legal in California, and know of restrictions in some other states.
