I put the wrong label on a package, item went to wrong buyer, who will
not send it back. Ebay agent advised giving buyer a refund for postage,
but that automatically closed the request. Ebay no help to seller here.

Buyer got his item. Got one he didn't order (my mistake) and is keeping

What Ebay could do is i. reopen the return case, 2 issue a return label
which I will pay for, 3. ask the buyer(who received the item he did
order to return the one he didn't order or pay for. Easy-peasy
