This was picked in a military yard in Santa Rosa, CA area in about 1960. Any ideas what it is? Someone called it a cover for a belly light for night ops in WW2.

This was purchased in the early 60's along with a part that came from WW2 plane most likely. It may have been from a military surplus yard in the San Francisco Bay area.
