04/08/22, Fri App broke 2-step verification loop

I opted into the new version and now things are broke. App says 2-step verification is now on. 1) I didn’t get any warning that 2-step would be turned on and there’s no way to turn it off using the app. I go to my chromebook, and now It won’t let me into my account on my chromebook without 2-step. It says sent code to device, but doesn’t send to device for 2-step. Tried many times. Bottom line, I can’t get into my account on my chromebook without 2-step verification and 2-step verification does not send notices to my device.

Nevermind, Resolved. A notification vs. a text is sent that says, "Sign in initiated Please tap approve to sign in to your account" is in my notification center on my phone. I was looking for a text message.
