Ebay's Final Value Fees Too High!

Am I the only one that is concerned with ebay's recent increase in final value fees?  Ebay is making it hard to make even a small profit off items sold!

s sell complicated engineering level item 4k+ 
1- eBay charges $175 contacting out of eBay fee (customer asking tech details and no contact out of ebay list was off at eBay i didnt care leaved like that because of no time )
2- list sold same person that ebay said out of ebay contact boomm %10 $350 (what i have store and fee is %6.5 ohh sorry list old before store but sold when you have store doesn't credit %6.5 i should delist item and relist)
finally an item $3500.00
ebay and paypal charge in total almost $600.00 customer service is none just will read script and says no 
really thanks, eBay next month has 140k worth item all will be sent another platform.

I listed an item on Ebay and was sold for $140.50. I made a profit for $27.52. Then I received my invoice that I had to pay $15.05 fee. Ebay said, it’s 10% from the value of my sale and $1 for the shipping something fee??? So disappointed!! Meaning, the profit that I got was only $12.47 (less than what Ebay got from me). And I only had one item to sell during that period. You really can’t make profit on Ebay!! Is there any other better sell & buy website?

Oh, forgot to mention the Paypal fee as well when you receive the money. Dang.

Fees are crazy!  Now I know why I stopped selling on Ebay for a two years!  The fees are crazy.

Not like anyone from eBay is listening or cares anyway, but...

A 10% fee is absolutely ridiculous. Add PayPal's 3% and there is NO WAY to be honest to the buyer, or not get raped as the seller. I can't in good conscience add enough to a selling price to cover these insane fees when I'm selling something - makes me feel dirty and, unlike eBay, I don't like ripping people off.

I sell a few things now and then - this is not what I do for a living, I don't have a 'store'. I would like to be able to give honest value for an honest price on the things I don't need anymore.

Billions of transactions, you're making plenty of money, you don't need to screw *everybody* in the process eBay...

I have to wonder how your upper management sleeps at night, and if they even have any mirrors?

Looking for a new auction / classifieds site (besides Craigslist - which I love, BTW) that allows for shipping- anybody have any suggestions?

My selling on ebay is coming to a close, their fees are getting to high and my profit on items are getting smaller. I will miss selling on ebay but their are other site to sell on.

I too was excited to start selling on ebay. sold a watch for 300 dollars which was a 3 dollar loss. Got hit with a 49 dollar fee for final fee and using a reserve price. Last time I EVER use ebay for selling or buying. That too bad they think its ok to be like this. Mark my words ebay. This will be your demise

I completely agree - its getting harder to make an 'actual' profit  - you have to sell double just to make up for the fees they charge and still keep some of your hard-earned profit - you think you might have made a bit of profit enough to pay for a car repair or somebody's birthdat and before you know it you're playing snakes and ladders with the money you 'think' you've made -  somebody needs to do something about this - Ebay is getting greedy.  There should be some kind of discount for BUYING on ebay if you are an active SELLER on ebay.

There are so many people selling on eBay that do not understand profits. Ebay has convinced sellers to lower the price and offer free shipping.  You sell cheap, offer free services that cost you a lot, then pay high fees. People’s mind set on making money has to change. Profits should be king. Ebay wreaks actual store sales by devaluing the product line then wreaks the sales on their site. Ebay needs to be fixed. Ebay could make the same amount of money with smaller fees on higher dollar sales. There are only so many of most goods to be sold and lower prices only reduce profit margins in the long run

fees are so ridiculous its insane! I bought a brand new item at the store lost receipt couldn't take it back . put it on here it brought Ok still a big loss. Then with the fees I ended up losing so much. ebay and paypal have gotten so greedy over the years!!! they even charge you a percentage off the shipping. Buyers complain and give bad feedback if the shipping is too high but the fees are so outrageous its a lose-lose situation...

Ebay has become very greedy.

I am selling an used PC at half price loss since everyone is too broke to afford it at market price and ebay decided to charge 11-12% fees on it. Crazy.

That is just over reaching rudeness.

I don't get free shipping or cheap shipping since I am from US not China. So at the end of the day I lose half my product value + another $60 due to ebay being ebay. 

Very upsetting. There are no profits here, just regrets.
