We have 10,000 odd listings on ebay which have been auto ported to ebay.de and other countries ebaylistings, with stock levels and pricing automatically being handled, assumedly by ebay from our UK listings.
With these listings in other countries we've noticed that the Title is being automatically translated, yet the description isn't. For example:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/192212588281
https://www.ebay.de/itm/192212588281
We've had some successful tests this afternoon with regards to translating descriptions via the Translation API with full HTML descriptions but are uncertain if performing the update via API to the foreign listings, in order to assist buyers, would result in the automation described earlier to cease to be.

As i know it is crucial to ensure that the updates performed via the Translation API are accurately applied to the foreign listings. You should thoroughly test the implementation and validate the results to ensure that the translated descriptions are correctly displayed and don't introduce any unexpected issues.

Performing updates to the foreign listings via the Translation API to assist buyers is unlikely to affect the automation of title translation and other automated processes by eBay. The translation of titles and other automated tasks are typically handled by eBay's own systems based on their algorithms and processes.
By using the Translation API to update the descriptions in the foreign listings, you can provide translated content to assist buyers in understanding the product details. However, it should not interfere with eBay's existing automation for title translation or other automated processes.
It's important to note that the specifics of eBay's processes and automation may evolve over time, so it's advisable to reach out to eBay's support or developer resources for more detailed information on how their automation works and to confirm the impact of using the Translation API on your specific listings.
