I hired a developer for my idea

Hello, I know nothing about API's or any other technical term. I have an idea and hired a Developer to explore and see if my idea is possible. He tells me that has been trying to get the access needed to test my idea. It has been months and I'm starting to wonder about whether he is still working with me. I don't know what to do. Thank you

Hello!

I understand how this situation can be frustrating. Have an open conversation with your developer and ask for a detailed update on the progress and any obstacles he's facing. Setting specific milestones and deadlines for the project will help track progress. Request evidence of the work completed so far, such as code snippets, documents, or other materials. If you continue to have doubts, consider exploring alternative developers or consulting with a technical expert to assess the situation. Taking these steps can help you gain more clarity and confidence in your project's progress. Good luck!

@bercl-5550

Did someone tell you that you would be employed by eBay and eBay would pay you to post product reviews, write forum posts, or grab orders? This is a scam, and they are setting you up to steal from you. The scammers will earn your trust with fake proof of their system, perhaps even let you withdraw very small payments, then they will tell you that you have to pay them to be able to withdraw more payments.

This is called a task scam or an order-grabbing scam. The fake company might use the name "eBay Mall" or a different name. Either way, it's a scam that has nothing to do with the real eBay.

eBay doesn't pay people to write forum posts, write product reviews, or grab orders. No legitimate company pays for this type of "work."

If the scammers ask you to sign up for a cryptocurrency account, don't do itDon't give them any money; you won't get any of it back. More info: https://malwaretips.com/blogs/ebay-job-scam/
