I received an email from eBay after requesting access to the buy.item-summary.readonly scope. This is what I received:
To access the buy.item-summary.readonly scope, you'll need to follow these steps:
The problem is that on the User Tokens page, there are no instructions on how to "generate a user token with the required scopes". I can generate a token, but that token does not give me access to buy.item-summary.readonly. There is nothing about scopes.

To access the buy.item-summary.readonly scope, you'll need to follow these steps:
- Log into your eBay Developer account.
- Navigate to the Application Keys page.
- Find the application you're working with and click on the 'User Tokens' button.
- Follow the instructions to generate a user token with the required scopes, including buy.item-summary.readonly.

To get the buy.item-summary.readonly scope on eBay, don't just generate a token. First, click "Grant application access to my eBay account" (or similar). This will redirect you to a page where you can select the buy.item-summary.readonly scope. Then generate the token. If you don't see the scope selection page, check your application setup or contact eBay Developer Support.
