MP's process of holding and releasing funds is so awful it defies logic. I don't even know how they even begin to justify it.
I had two INRs filed in Ebay on the 11th of this month.
INR # 1, the tracking showed it was delivered per the tracking on 2/4 yet the buyer opened an INR on 2/11. It is now 2-24 and MP is STILL holding my money. That is NINE business days later.
INR # 2, it was opened 2/11 and there was a problem. It was just recently delivered on 2/22.
So what the heck is the policy as I'm out of guesses.
@mam98031 you're right that I don't have an answer to this specific question. The help page for holds give basic info, but you may want to use the 'Have us call you' feature at the bottom of that page so payments support can help further.
Thank you. I know I can try to get someone to call me. And in the future I may do that, however for right now the money being held isn't hurting me in any way, so I'm curious to see exactly how long MP feels it appropriate to hold my money. They certainly have a very strange process that rather defies logic and certainly the facts of the transactions that can be proven.

I have a question regarding the returns process.
I had a buyer open a SNAD return in error saying he received a different item then that offered in the listing. He sent a follow up email a few minutes later and apologized, it was an error, and asked me to disregard the return.
I called ebay and requested they close out the return. They told me that was absolutely not possible without giving me a defect. I asked for a supervisor and was told the same.
My question - Is ebay no longer considering the facts of a case? Is it no longer possible for ebay to verify a fact disclosed by a buyer and close a return?
I am not talking about buyers word versus the seller. I am talking about when both the buyer and seller agree that the buyer returned the wrong item to the wrong seller or opened a return in error etc.
Hi@coinslabz26 - This is a great question. When a buyer says they no longer want to proceed with a return request, we need them to take the action and close the return because this ends their coverage on the item.
We don't have the option to just close the case (especially if the return was accepted), so we have to wait for the buyer to close the case or for the case to automatically close once the max timeframe for the return to be open has been reached.

Another question. I am having a difficult time understanding how to enter my sales and expenses for eBay since moving to managed payments because there is no longer an invoice that details all my expenses. And there are no sales reports any longer. I'm trialing a couple of software programs that integrate with eBay and QBO to help make sense of it all. One of the software programs is called Link My Books and they asked me to post this question:
We are using the Payout API to manage our bookkeeping and we have noticed an error in one of our payout reports. We hope you can help to provide us with additional information.
Amount: USD 16.5
Date: 23 Feb 2021
The missing amount is: USD -73.24
The sum of all the transactions contained in the payout report does not match the value of the payout itself. The difference is the "missing amount" above.
Please could you let us know what the missing amount is for and why it does not appear in the Payout report generated from the API?
Grateful for any insight.

Edit: A reply to your post can be found here
@cottageconservator I might be able to shed a little light on this for you. In the Seller Hub under the Payment tab is a report for detailed transactions you can download to a worksheet. That report will likely contain what you are looking for.
One thing to keep in mind. The 1099K Ebay issues for 2020 is based on Settlement dates, NOT the transaction dates. So that has thrown a lot of sellers off since they didn't explain this. It is also puzzling as to why they made the decision to do it this way since not a single other site that I'm aware of that has their own money processing program does it this way. So be aware and that should help you reconcile.
Good luck.

So then to clarify. Ebay will no longer consider any facts of the case?
For further clarification. I once had a buyer open a return and send back the wrong item. They genuinely did it by accident and they openly admitted it in email. At the time ebay support verified the message and closed the return. Are you saying that the policy has changed and ebay can not intervene? If this happened today I would still be required to refund them because the tracking showed delivered?

Hello
eBay made an announcement on 02-17-2021 regarding New Shipping Badges that are now going to display "Free 4 day shipping" on sellers listings and within search.
https://community.ebay.com/t5/Announcements/Simplified-shipping-badges-come-to-eBay/ba-p/31625712
Simplified shipping badges come to eBay
Can sellers "Opt Out" of having the "Free 4 day shipping" badge displayed or added to their listings?
I ask because I am concerned that buyers are going to take the promise of 4 days literally due to the fact that they may not realize that what eBay is actually referring to is "4 business days shipping" rather than 4 calendar days.
I am also concerned due to the fact that eBay appears to be using a seller's historical handling times when displaying the badge versus their actual handling time.
The screenshots below are from another account that has 3 busness days handling time. The buyer was shown "Free 4 day shipping" for an item that they purchased yesterday 02-23-2021. As you can see from screenshot #3 I am not even obligated to ship this item until this Friday 02-26-2021, but yet they are still be shown "Free 4 day shipping" with an estimated delivery date of Monday 03-01-2021.
I understand that for many sellers this new badge will be considered a feature, and rightfully so. But for other sellers such as myself I would rather not allow my listings to be responsible for disappointing my buyers with unrealistic expectations.
So once again is there a mechanism within eBay's site settings that allows sellers to "Opt Out" of having these badges displayed within there listing?
Screenshot #1 "Free 4 day shipping" displayed on the main listing page
Screenshot #2 "Free 4 day shipping" displayed on the Shipping & Payments page
Screenshot #3 Order Details page post purchase w/ Ship by date of 02-26-2021
@go-bad-chicken I confirmed that there is not an option to opt out of this feature.

After making a listing, I just want to say, it would be a huge help if eBay was a bit more intuitive.
Charecter family is so over used but when I say none then next question should not be which one.
Today I got Manufacturers color. Most manufactures of home items don't give color names-it's the color you see.
I know item specifics is a big issue with eBay, but someone has to have some common sense and some idea that question 12 should affect whether question 13 should even exist.
