What is this wood clip?

It is wood and opens.  but not sure what it is.  thanks.

I have one of these, too. I was told it was for removing toast from a toaster. I guess since its wood - chances of getting shocked or burnt are not as threatening. Don't know how true this is, but, figured I would put it out there as to what I was told.

okay - Did you try an image search? I just did and and found out my above answer is wrong (which I was not really convinced it was for toast anyway . . lol). Image search returned a few very close pictures claiming it's a _____________

PRIMITIVE WOODEN GLOVE FINGER FORM FOR STRETCHING  THE GLOVE

_________sounds more likely to be true as it returned quite a few stating the same thing, so...I learned something new also!
