I often have the problem of not being able to find certain items, e.g. very special technical products. Now it occurred to me that it would be really handy if Ebay offered search queries. So that if you can't find a certain item, you can make a request to see if someone can find it. For example, you set a time frame within which you need the item and the maximum (maybe hidden) price you will pay and the searcher/seller who finds it first in the range of the hidden price wins the bid. Anyone can look at these search queries and, if possible, sell their bits and bobs in this way, which would be the second arm of eBay in reverse, so to speak...
