Trading API

Hi Developer Community! 

I have digital infrastructure which uses the eBay Trading API and my developers would like to understand the following: 

• When is eBay planning to decommission deprecated fields in their sandbox environment?
• Will deprecated fields no longer be returned in API responses past their decommission date?
• Are only API response field being decommissioned, or will there be any change in API request fields as well? – Current assumption is that only response fields are to change.

Please can anyone help answer the questions above. Appreciate any support possible.

eBay's deprecation dates and decommission dates are listed on this page:

1. The sandbox has its own troubles and limitations, so no response to that question.

2.  There is usually a good amount of time between the announcement and actual end of life. The decommission date is when the field will no longer be accepted or returned (although I would plan to gracefully ignore decommissioned fields that might remain a little longer).

3. eBay has also deprecated some input fields, as shown in the above deprecation page.
