From having gone deeeeep down the rabbit hole of the coin hobby, I can say with confidence that is NOT what I want to do with trading cards of any kind; my brain is crowded enough with geek stuff. So I'll just admit outright, I need the lazy person's solution here, just any info generously thrown at me, I'll appreciate very much, LOL. I have this little lot of 63 Pokemon cards that I found in a storage unit, and they couldn't be further from my wheelhouses of knowledge. I know I could just post them as a lot with a starting bid and let them go to whatever the highest bid is ... and that's probably what I'll do.
But just so I am not caught unaware or at risk of desperate scammers, do I happen to have any extra valuable ones here? Also I have not yet started a listing for these, so I don't know what (if any) REQUIRED item specifics there are. So if anyone knows, can you tell from these photos what IS's I would need to select?
Since this will probably be the one and only time I ever sell these, I am not asking for websites or other 'rabbit hole' type sources, just any info from what you see here.
This is all of them, and I can do a close-up photo on any specific ones, if needed.

I know nothing about them, either. My daughter is sure I have a treasure trove lurking in the collections my children left in the house but I agree with you that it seems like a lot of bother to educate myself on, in order to be fair to buyers AND to myself.
I'll be watching to see what advice you get. In the meantime, here's a bit of a bump for your question.

@gurlcat these are completely outside my wheelhouse too but one thought for you - maybe try scanning them with eBay's scan to list tool if you use the app?

It's been a couple years since I've played with it so not sure if it would be helpful for this, but it does theoretically work with Pokemon cards.
That might at least be an easy way to identify what you have there and see if eBay shows you a suggested price.

That is a good idea @valueaddedresource or even just use the google lens to cull the more valuable ones.

Hey I appreciate it! But I suspect I probably won't luck out and get a Pokemon card collector/seller answer simply because of how few members come to these Category sub-forums, compared to the prolific general Sellers and Buyers ones.
-That's not me whining BTW. In fact what I'm feeling right now is guilt, because I almost never go to the jewelry sub (which IS my wheelhouse), and certainly not to just peruse the help-seeking posts, to see if I can provide any such help. Now I think I will try to remember to do that. Oh, and I'm also not whining about the fact that item categories ARE sequestered from the main eBay nuts-n-bolts forums. I think it does make sense and would not like to see allll those posts thrown in with ones about returns, sales trends, etc.

I sold a lot of 6 back in November, also knowing little. I used google images just to get an idea of values. Ended up with over $100. Just search a page at a time with a notebook at your side to keep track. If you have any that are rare sell those separate and bundle the others.

I dread the idea of doing one at a time like that, but I reckon maybe once I got in a rhythm it could go kinda fast. I'll probably do that, thanks for the encouragement.

Reddit.com has 4 or 5 Pokemon groups about cards, I bet they could tell you in flash exactly what is worth money and what is not.

You can post the same photos over there and have lots of experts at your fingertips 🙂

I get a lot of Pokemon and sports cards and I know nothing about them, so I just give them to my grandsons to play with.

Ooo, I bet you're exactly right and I don't know why I didn't think of it myself, considering I'm over there fairly often. Granted, I'm there enough to know I should also brace myself for some quantity of abuse and maybe even deceit ... because Reddit. And probably because Pokemon demographic too, LOL. But hopefully there'll be at least a few mature and straightforward voices.

Certainly worth a try, just keep your wits about you! It's hope it helps, I use Reddit a lot to find out what items are and what they might be worth. The abuse/deceit just goes with Reddit, lol! Good luck!
