Hi. I saw a tutorial on you tube about shipping beanies. The guy stuffed a whole bunch of beanies in a poly bag, no tag protectors. Seems brutal, I don't want returns and would appreciate advice about shipping them. Are they safe in the poly bags? Seems like it will save on shipping prices but what happens to the beanies and their tags? Thanking you in advance for any replies.

New they would have been packaged in the small plastic bag and dumped into a big box with all the others. When they got to the seller, they would have been scooped or dumped into the sales bin. If the ones you are selling are upper end, ship as you see fit if that suggestion does not fit your choice.

Thanks for your replies. What I was asking was about shipping one or two b. babies. I guess I'll probably just find small boxes to be safe. I appreciate the time you both took to answer my question.

Yes.definitely use a small box,for those small of items a box will not increase the weight that much,Most importantly beanie babies are delicate items, you don't want to take a chance on those bags getting ripped open, worse yet, bags do not protect well, those little stuffed animals can get crunched
Always protect yourself from shipping/return claims and as well protect your buyers items, you will be doing yourself a huge favor
Good question and great post you made😄

Planning the shipping before you list an item is at the top of my list for everything I sell.
With whatever it is that I'm trying to ship I try to imagine what it will look like when it gets to its destination.
If what I'm shipping is very collectible & great condition, I need to do whatever I can to make sure that it arrives in that same condition. Just ask yourself, if you bought it on eBay how would you like it shipped to you?
If you can't afford to buy a lot of different sizes of boxes, go to your local mall and seek out a type of store that specializes in small gift items. They might have small boxes they recycle. You can always cut larger boxes down to a smaller size in a pinch.
No matter what I sell if there's a way for me to get it into a plastic bag for extra protection, then that's what I do. I'm reminded of the times that I received messages from buyers that had a mail person put the package in a part of the front porch that was not protected from the weather. The extra bag saved the day.
Good luck!
