Did anyone else wake up this morning to find the search suddenly totally useless?

I normally search the doll category...starting off with by brand.  Suddenly today when I do this it will still list the brands but that's all that it will do.  Now if I go into a brand....for instance....Hasbro...I can no longer even see "newest" or "ending soonest".  It takes me to a screen that tells me to pick "by material"or "vintage" etc and even when I click on these I still see nothing.

Did something happen to the search?  Is this hopefully just a crazy glitch?  Because if this is how it is going to be now I can't find anything and sellers items are not going to be found.

Yep.  It seems to be site wide.  Vintage jewelry searches went down around midnight EST and as of 8:45am EST is still down.  Come on eBay, get this fixed!

I am trying to chat with an agent...it is a useless waste of time.  Glad to know it is site wide at least, not a good thing at all, but it must be a glitch then.  Thanks for responding.

So far this AM, have done two searches, Fabric By The Yard (under Crafts) and Vintage Doll Clothes Patterns (under Dolls & Bears) and both have worked.  So I'm apparently in the minority here?

You must put something in the Search Bar in order to see the dropdown box that contains those sorting options.

I just did your above mentioned search...Went to Doll category, clicked By Brands, and chose Hasbro. No dropdown box sort choices. HOWEVER, if I go to Dolls and type Hasbro in the search bar, I can see the sort options you're looking for.

From what I've heard, it's a purposeful change by eBay, and it's affecting everything. My regular saved searches, which usually email a couple of hits a day, sent me 50,000+ hits each today because they reverted to searching sitewide rather than just in Vintage Barbie. It's like they don't care if buyers can find what they're looking for.

I was appalled! Noted there is no more Barbie category at all, let alone "vintage Barbie" and all is supposed to "make it easier for buyer to find items." What a mess! I too, hope this is not a permanent change. Vintage Barbie brings in the bucks for eBay!

There actually still are Barbie categories if you "Shop by Category". You can search in them if you go that route, but the searches can't be saved to only search in that category. I'm sure Shop by Category is probably just a loophole eBay hasn't found yet.

They look like they are there, but when you click on them you actually cannot see anything.  There is no way any longer to just go to  the vintage barbie category and search by newest or oldest.  Unless I put a keyword in,  I can't pull up anything.  I like to browse that category to see everything available.  That is impossible now.

All I see are 2 categories for all dolls; Doll Clothing & Accessories,  Dolls & Doll Playsets. So I searched for Ideal Tammy and Madame Alexander Cissy... all under these 2 categories. That's it, "one size fits all" in the doll category.

Okay, I do see Barbie and others under the "character" search in left column. Vintage is all mixed in with contemporary, though. Seems more confusing than "making it easier" for buyers.
