Hi members
I enjoy researching fiscal cancels and the internet has helped a lot in my research.
My main focus is the first 5 series fiscals of the U.S.
With a good clear fiscal cancel I can research information on the internet, create a write up, print it and keep in a 3 ring binder. There are thousands maybe millions of fiscal cancels to research.
There is a blog that deals with only the 1898 series, I've contributed many research results and plate varieties to this blog.
How do you use the internet to help in your stamp collecting efforts?

After I posted my original posting (OP) thought I should have included an example or two.
So here's two. These are full page examples, so more difficult to see the stamp(s) in question.
The red "J + number" is my file number.

Hi I thought by now someone would have answered your question. I myself have no interest in these "SPECIMEN" stamps.

Specimens are overprinted to cancel (prevent postal use) valid stamps but otherwise keep them intact as examples for various reasons. They're not CTO's, originally meant for sale to collectors, but... There is an (niche) interest in them, depending what they are, and you can check the "solds" here and elsewhere for ideas.
For more insight on these, best to start a new thread and not hijack an existing one...
