Update on Daniel: Daniel's mom died a week ago. His aunt and uncle are caring for him. They are Christians and seem caring and concerned about his special needs.

I was reading Corinthians. Powerful!
It talks about the simple gospel. As people we try to add to it or change it.
John 3:16
It is free, it is loving, it is kind, it is generous, and it is ALL Jesus.

Reading and understanding the Bible is very important in our lives. I have compiled a list of five most powerful Bible verses in my opinion, what they mean to me, and how they have helped me.
Romans 8:31
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
This is, without a doubt, the most inspiring and empowering Bible verse I have ever read. If God is at our backs, no one can do us any harm, we are safe and protected. This verse was especially helpful during the time in my life when I first accepted God into my life. It served as the first empowered moment in which I thought, "God has my back, through anything, and that is all I need.
Philippians 1:21
For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
I went through a period of doubt, then a period of questioning and confusion before I accepted God. I struggled with the thought and reality of death, and how after I die, everything I do in my life will eventually fade and be meaningless. This verse helped me to get through that time. It made me realize that, through God, dying is a good thing, for it will bring you to a wonderful afterlife, where everything is eternal.
1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
This, over time, has been shortened to (God will never put you through more than you can handle) This is a perfect verse for someone struggling with things in their life. It helped me through a difficult time in which I was struggling with battered relationships, the passing of a relative, and employment issues. It is a very comforting thing to know, if you are walking with God, you will never be in over your head, and He is always there for you.
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
This verse is similar to the previous one and the first one, but it provides a lighter message. It states that God has a plan for your life, and that He knows where you are going. I have gone through many times in my life in which I questioned who I was and where I was headed based on my career paths and choices. This verse helped me to find comfort in my wandering through parts of my life. If God knows where I am to go, I don't need to.
Joshua 1:8-9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.
I am reminded of the short poem (Footprints In The Sand) that I have posted a year or so ago. The thought that God is with us always is empowering and comforting. Humans need someone to be with them through the good and bad times to turn to, and this verse suggests that we can ALWAYS turn to God. He is always here with us, and never leaves us, even if we don't feel like we need Him at the time.
These Bible verses are just the tip of the iceberg as far as comforting information in the Bible goes. The Bible is full of verses to help us through any situation.

Roxie,
All that gibrish came from Facebook/Ebay If you stay logged in to Facebook they follow everything your computer does! I think Ebay had a conflict with it and that is what caused the computers to talk to each other.
To stop that log out of Facebook unless you are using it.

There are so many of you that I would love to embrace. I settle with always embracing you in my heart.
When I come here I can find love and peace.
I have had so many heartaches that only the love and faith in God gets me through each
day. I am asking each of you to help me find peace of heart and of mind. Seems as if we survive one trial only to turn and another waits. I know God's time is not my time and I pray we learn from each one..
Roy and Carole, thank you from my heart for each post. You touch my heart and soul.
My love to all.. Jan

Jan,
The Angels Have a Message For You - It's Time To Love Yourself! Just let your heart fill to overflowing with love. It is your devine birthright. A birthright means you are entitled to it just because you are who you are. You are a devine spark of God and you are thereby entitled to all the Joy, Bliss, Blessings, Grace, Fun, Laughter, and all the good things that you will allow yourself. Fill your heart to overflowing. It doesent need to be love for anyone or anything, but if you need that to get started, then by all means think of someone or something that you dearly love, and let all the love you can muster fill your heart.

Jan - God wants you to have peace in your life. He wants only the best for you. Those who have gone on before - they are now safe & home and there is no need to worry about them. When you are called home, you will see them again, whole and in no pain. Do not become sad and housebound as it lets depression creep in and take over your life. Find something you like to do. You were a teacher, so perhps tutoring a student, or reading to someone at a nursing home? If you can find something that will make you happy and enrich your life, it will not leave room for the negativity to creep in. I know. I was there and got out of it. There is a way.

Michele -- Thank you. It seems like we had a few bees buzing and then WOW!
Jan -- What a heart-felt message!! I love you so much!! Jesus loves you tremendously!!!!! Trials, sickness, and even death are part of life just like rainbows, sunshine, and flowers. The beauty is loved ones who pass -- pass unto a world beyond description -- it is so beautiful! All the sickness, trouble, pain, and heartache is gone.
Death is our reward -- we are transformed to Heaven with a new GLORIFIED body in a Garden of Paradise.
Because of sin -- we face trials -- my friend asked, "Why do good people get sick?" The rain falls on the good and the bad.
The good thing about trials is that Jesus is with us each step of the way. I asked Jesus, did you go with me when .... His Spirit confirmed with my spirit that He was there.
Most of my life, I was shy (really) and did not have confidence. One day, Jesus confirmed to me how much He loved me. I may still be quiet (at times), but I NEVER have to worry about No One Loving Me -- Because Jesus loves me enough -- I have other people who love me -- but Jesus loves me GREATER, BIGGER, AND M-O-R-E!!
Do not look for the Garden of Eden at this present time -- it is not here. There is coming a day, when Heaven will come down to the earth. Earth will be new and clean and wonderful and peaceful like we want it to be. All evil and all evil people will be gone. The evil one will go to the bottomless pit.
We will know everyone and they will know us. A mansion will replace whatever home you now have. People that you have shared Jesus with, will be there. You will be amazed. Even when you saw no visible signs -- in a future date -- they will be there.
You, my special friend, are amazing!! I am thrilled with your colorful gifs and wisdom from the Bible.

Roy -- Thank you for sharing. We each share from our different prospectives.
Lynn -- Thank you for your input. You have been in the valley and on the mountain top.
Roxie -- I like what you said about one picture is worth a thousand bees. LOL!

Carole,
My prospective has came from my own life & with age. I have been sent home to die three times in the last few years!
But with a lot of prayers, Jesus and my own determination that I still loved life, knowing my family would not do well without me yet. I have made myself feel positive and filled myself with love. There is no room in my heart for disease because of all the love that is in it.
The first time I was sent home and told to get everything in order because I would not last more than a few months was in January 2007. When I had not passed by July and all my other organs were still functioning well. They put me on a Heart donor list. That lasted for over a year with ups and downs. Then another Heart attack they did a heart cath to put another stint but they said the only vein that was still feeding my Heart was so small if they tried to stint it it would probably cause a fatal Heart attack? Back home to die again?
I still have bad days on occasion but not as often as I have had. I also left out a quadruple bypass and stints on two other occasions. More different medicines than I care to remember. I do still take a few medicines and vitamins but not near so many.
Now when I go to the hospital for a appointment I have a array of people from telemetry, cardiology etc. come by, some to touch me and some to say hello!
So yes my prospective is just Love and lots of it. I am not worried about dying but I still enjoy living and loving here as long as I can.
Love to All
Roy
