Re: Prayer Request Thread

hello all prters, Could you please say a prayer for me. this Friday
i will be operated on. The doctor said it is a shunt . they will insert
a tiny tube in my abdomen and thread it up inside my body to
the neck area and attachÈ it to the main vein if it works, it will take the fluid from my adomain and it will go into the blood to be eliminated thru urine ation.

They say my liver causes the fluid buildup in my abdomen.which
inturn puts pressure on my heart and lungs.

Prayers for all who needs them.

Re: Prayer Request Thread

Hi Jan, how about 1,400 ft, it's way to close for people, but they knew that in the genesis anyways, it's pure greed at work. The turbine is much bigger than in the picture, I could not zoom in on it it's so big, I have 11 of them in the front of my house. The noise is bad, as a ginny pig, I can tell you the noise these things make is more then bad. I'm getting bad ringing in my ears, upset stomach, dizziness, I am irritable, I feel anger, I get depressed, some times I feel even God has left me. It's " turbine torture" being recorded. I sorry for going on an on.

Good morning everyone!

Audrey - Keeping you in prayer for breathing problems. What is causing this? That was nice of your queen.

Roger - Keeping you in prayer for a successful surgery and wisdom for the medical staff that will attend you. It is good they found out what the problem was. What hospital are you going to use?

Jimmy - I am praying they find a solution for your wind turbine issues.

We went to visit Gene last night. Though sad, of course, the entire family said that they would have not wished one more day for him here. He had brain cancer for a long time and in the end he could not talk or hardly move. They had Hospice in, but only so much can be done. The funeral is this morning at the local Catholic church. We are not attending as I can not sit for that long.

I am going to try to do something around here, but I do not promise myself anymore.

Have a great day!

Re: Prayer Request Thread

Well my dear American friends Bin Landen is dead and I believe it. The military operation by the Seals was incredible and exacting.
The handling of his body and the burial of it with regard to Muslim tradition singled this Nation out as
Christian as opposed to Islamic.

We know and believe that the teachings of Bin Landen were wicked and murderous but as Christians we must bringto bear a biblical perspective on all things.

The bombing of the Trade Towers especially and the innumerable bombings around the world including London were evil but still we must maintain a biblical perspective for we have the mind of Christ concerning all these events.

This was posted on Facebook and I found it measured
and felt again that it singles out a Christian mindset as opposed to the Muslim.

"Faced with the death of a man, a Christian never rejoices, but reflects on the serious responsibility of each and every one of us before God and before man, and hopes and commits himself so that no event be an opportunity for further growth of hatred, but for peace."

The Vatican on the death of Osama Bin Laden

We can all say from all our hearts that there but for the grace of God go I. We didn`t make ourselves Christian we didn`t decide for ourselves that we would not be born into a Muslim state. God did and we look to him as the days get increasingly darker and the world more wicked.

I remain always your friend and sister in Christ.

Re: Prayer Request Thread

.
Are we living in:

  • Garden of Eden (a paradise)

  • Millennium (1,000 years) Reign of Christ

  • New Heaven and New Earth

  • None of the above

None of the above.

Our present world is the result of sin.

We have cancer and illness; loss of jobs; loss of homes; wars; crime; broken homes; corruption; poverty; accidents; weather disasters ... to mention a few.

In this world, we are in a battle -- a spiritual battle. The enemy of our souls is seeking to deceive us, trip us up, and cause havoc.

If we aren't Christians, he seeks to keep us from repenting and turning to Christ.

If we are Christians, he seeks to destroy our joy and our witness.

How can we battle such a fierce enemy?

We cannot without the help of Jesus.

Pray without ceasing. Pray for everything.

.

I like this very much Carole as it shows the true position of the world and us in it. It reminds us that we are in the world but not part of it our affections are now to our Lord Jesus Christ and looking to Heaven. We know that the Lord is mighty in battle on our behalf infact the word says that he is for us and that is such a marvelous thing. The Lord of host for us that one who is high and lofty and Almighty is for us YES he is.

I had been reading The Shall nots an article from the Institue for Creation Reserach which is much in the same theme as yours above.

The 'Shall Not's' of John's Gospel
May 4, 2011

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

There are many wonderful promises to the believer listed in the Gospel of John. Many of these promises are things which "shall" happen, but let us consider seven of these which teach of things which "shall not" happen to the believer whose trust is in Christ.

Teaching of the indwelling Holy Spirit, Christ said, "Whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life" (4:14).

Similarly, "Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst" (6:35).

Furthermore, He taught: "I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life" (8:12). Our deepest needs are met in Him.

Having once believed, we are placed into His family and He promises, "I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand" (10:28). In Him, we are utterly secure. Why? "He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life" (5:24).

Consequently, we have no fear of death. "I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?" (11:25-26).

As the familiar verse in our text tells us, if we only believe "that he gave his only begotten Son," we shall "not perish, but have everlasting life." JDM

psalm 13 6 Pictures, Images and Photos

How Can I Keep From Singing
Chris Tomlin

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-GPpx9oINsI

There is an endless song
Echoes in my soul
I hear the music ring

And though the storms may come
I am holding on
To the rock I cling

How can I keep from singing Your praise
How can I ever say enough
How amazing is Your love
How can I keep from shouting Your name
I know I am loved by the King
And it makes my heart want to sing

I will lift my eyes
In the darkest night
For I know my Savior lives

And I will walk with You
Knowing You'll see me through
And sing the songs You give

I can sing in the troubled times
Sing when I win
I can sing when I lose my step
And fall down again
I can sing 'cause You pick me up
Sing 'cause You're there
I can sing 'cause You hear me, Lord
When I call to You in prayer
I can sing with my last breath
Sing for I know
That I'll sing with the angels
And the saints around the throne

The Wonderful Cross
Matt Redman & Chris Tomlin

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_sKcw9_PQYA

When I survey the wondrous cross
On which the Prince of Glory died
My richest gain I count but loss
And pour contempt on all my pride

See from his head, his hands, his feet
Sorrow and love flow mingled down
Did ever such love and sorrow meet
Or thorns compose so rich a crown

O the wonderful cross, O the wonderful cross
Bids me come and die and find that I may truly live
O the wonderful cross, O the wonderful cross
All who gather here by grace draw near and bless
Your name

Were the whole realm of nature mine
That were an offering far too small
Love so amazing, so divine
Demands my soul, my life, my all
