Ah, I hadn't thought of it referring to Alan leaving, but I looked for his id in the member list and it is no longer there, so I believe you are right. I agree with everything you said about losing a member- any member. And while I find chess sets, and the history behind them, interesting- even fascinating, I hardly think they are the "be all do all" of my life. Certainly not worth causing any hard feelings nor ruining friendships over. None of those chess pieces will ever remember any one of us one iota - whether good or bad- when we are gone, but people/mankind/history will. Guess we each have to determine which is of more value to us personally. Personally, I have to pick people first. Good bad or ugly. Good thing to, I have a lockjaw on that last category. :^O

To all, My main point was to state that i received two mails at once, one was offering me a final chance to gather information from any given thread. The second one was to state i was removed from that group. I was clearly denied that right,if any of the numerous ACC membership, here in this group has the opportunity to download from the threads then my point is very relevant. If not they can post here to put the record straight. I agree with all views on the basis that we have a freedom of speech forum here, and there will be opposing opinion. The closure of that group is a darned good thing, because the moderation that should have existed was simply not exercised, and a certain member was pretty much " crucified " in the discussions. We have a number of recent additions to this group, we cannot be certain if Alan is not still with us in a differing name. Also Stanpike is still present in this forum. I find it quite incredible that simply stating a " bona fide position " should have resulted in his leaving. I have a copy of the 2002 Codex by Robert Stoller, which i received when i joined the CCI in 2004. Is simply stating the truth a crime now ?

All members, As a recent series of TV ads says, "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas", so goes "what happens in other groups does not apply to this group" FYI: To access the files and such of this other group, a person would need to join and that is not going to be possible since this other group itself is closing down. As I found this other group, it had 1 member left and 1 group leader, not much of a group in my opinion ? Insinuation that a member quits and rejoins under another identity is shy of slanderous. Character assassination is over and done with, period ! A position and opinion has been noted. I believe that it is in the best interest of the group to lock this from further remarks. Clay Neubert
