Hello @Anonymous,
Regarding an apparently longstanding problem with 1-day Handling items being listed as Same Day Shipping by mistake, you posted a reply to @itscalledapostingid in yesterday's Weekly Chat (here), saying that without some examples to look at, you could not discuss the problem in more detail, and the sample(s) you'd seen so far did not fit the description.
I was working on my own listings this morning, and noticed that most if not all of my Fixed Price listings are showing this error. Here is a screenshot of one such listing, showing "Same Day Shipping" to prospective buyers. (I verified this by viewing my listings from my buying account.)
Listing 333380646373
Here is a screenshot of its listing form Shipping details, showing that "1 business day" is selected for the Handling time. "Same business day" is not.
Handling time for listing 333380646373
After clicking through many of my Fixed Price listings, it seems that most if not all of them are showing that. Here are three specific examples you can examine, and I have screenshots similar to the above for all of them:
You will probably see the same error in many if not all of my other Fixed Price listings as well. At no time would I select "Same business day" shipping, even though my actual shipping record does show that most of my items go out on the same day that they're paid for, as shown by their USPS Acceptance dates.
Just as a guess, based on what I've seen in various listings, it appears that the system has three fields in a horizontal row to fill in its listing presentation, and makes its own choices on the fly, each time the page is viewed, about what to say in each one. In the screenshot above, it selected "Longtime member," "Returns accepted" and "Same day shipping" for example. It has multiple phrases to choose from, based on the attributes it can see for that item or its seller. I notice in my listings that items with multiple watchers will show the watch count in the right-hand box, where "Same day shipping" appears in others.
So the problem might simply be that someone coding the page thought that "Same day" and "1-Day" had the same meaning, or has flubbed the coding logic for deciding whether "Same day shipping" is a valid choice to display, in a situation where some other phrase doesn't qualify and there's still one hole left to fill in the listing template.

Hi @a_c_green, thank you SO MUCH! I will dig into this and see what is going on. I will let you know if I need anything else 🙂

Have you checked your shipping settings for same-day handling? They may be interfering with your intended handling times. Check them here:

I hadn't looked at those before, but for the record, they are showing 14:00 PST as the Same-Day cutoff time throughout the week.
However, the issue here is that I never specified Same Day Shipping in the first place. I specified 1-day Handling on all my listings, but these are showing to prospective buyers as Same Day Shipping instead, which would not be correct regardless of the time of day.

Uncheck all of the boxes and click Save.

Doing so yields an error message in red of "At least 1 working day must be specified." In addition, each line sprouts an error message reading "If working day is excluded, no time should be provided." However, there is no way to delete the time. The pulldown menu simply offers a range from 05:00 to 19:00, with no blank and no delete option.
Can you explain a little more where you're going with this? The original problem here is that we're getting Same Day Shipping when we do not want it, and we have specified a 1-Day Handling time that is not being shown.

Those cut-off times have nothing to do with this "Same Day Shipping" display issue. In fact, I actually tried setting my items to same day shipping with a cut-off time of 10AM. Ebay still displayed Same Day Shipping with the countdown timer up until 5PM every weekday. I left it like that a couple days and it would never display the right cut-off time. So I set my items back to 1-day handling. I have been trying to fix this issue since November 2019. I have gone through all the settings. Ebay for Biz Facebook and Ask Ebay Twitter checked my settings too. They recognized that THERE IS A PROBLEM! Ebay just refuses to fix it.
BTW thanks a_c_green for opening this thread. I hope it will get some attention. All sellers should check their listings daily to see if they are affected by this issue.

It was worth a shot. I hope you figure it out. Good luck, to you both!

I posted about this on the "Seller Town Hall: February 2020" questions. Hopefully it will get some traction there and maybe we can get some answers on this.
So far it got a couple votes and a couple comments from users who want to explain the issue away.
I don't know why this issue hasn't gotten much attention on this thread and the others I started. Are we the only 2 sellers with 1-day handling who always meet that and sometimes exceed the handling time? Also seems like we should have heard back from Trinton on this.
