Search Engine Changes

Went onto ebay and when I search for a specific item I get crud that does not come close to what I am looking for.  I used to get 20 pages of useful items I was looking for now I get less then a page and 75% does not even match the search criteria I put into the search feature.  How the heck do I get the old search engine back because this one is just too painful!

In some cases, eBay's search will steer you into a particular category (this is called "implicit category navigation"), and then it may drop the search term that corresponds to that category. Or else it might substitute a keyword that is close to your search term, but not exactly the same.

One way to avoid implicit category navigation is to add a nonsense exclusion term to your search. If you are searching for "cash register" (without quotes), try searching for "cash register -octopus" (without quotes).

To prevent keyword substitutions put your individual search terms in quotes "like" "this".
