Hi, has anyone been told about a change to this policy?
I'm an ebay UK seller but am asking here as I cannot get any sense from ebay UK and this relates to the USA as well (apparently).
End November they took down about 80% of my listings, mainly for scopes/mounts. This was all on the basis of a guy from Trust and Safety calling me on the phone and telling me to take my stuff down.
There has been no visible change to the UK online policy yet they told me that this is a change originating in the USA that will also be USA implemented. To date I see no changes in the stated policy on the UK or US sites and the numbers of products for sale are more or less unchanged.
When I refused as their policy say they are permitted he manually took me out. My ebay sales are down 80% and business in serious risk, lost sales around $1500 a day. I'm a 17 year seller and fell that there has been a major error made yet can get no sense from customer support here and fear to put listings back on in case they close me down totally and I lose the little I have left.
This is the email this guy from T&S sent me -
This email is to clarify removable items since the update to our airsoft/firearms and accessories policy has been defined.
Any item that is attachable to an airsoft weapon that has the potential to be transferred to an actual assault weapon is no longer permitted.
This includes but is not limited to scopes, handrails, grips, mounts and magazines where we cannot determine they are for BB/pellets only from the listing images.
Anyone else heard anything about this or is it nonsense or a suggested but withdrawn change? Or maybe due to a competitor sabotage somehow or a rogue element in T&S? Tried support here but as I say they give me the brush off. Hesitant to try support US side in case it just gets routed to the same lot I have tried before. Seems to be no way to contact anyone in management.

I wouldnt relist, you will find yourself suspended. I expect the listings were removed because you ship worldwide, and if Ebay is really not allowing those scopes and mounts to be listed here, they are blocking you from shipping them to this country.
