Wondering if anyone could help me estimate the value of this Gorham plate?

I am looking at this page and having a little bit of trouble distinguishing it from the other similar Gorham silver pieces.

Wondering if someone could help me identify the value range.

Probably not too much. I assume it is silver plate. Even if it were sterling silver these things…I have some from our wedding 56 years ago..no one want them anymore. Did you do a search on eBay and see anything similar. 

People don’t want this stuff anymore..unfortunately. Let us know. Good luck.

It's a very pleasing design.  Not too fancy and not too plain.  It would go with many styles.  Too bad it wasn't Sterling silver. 

About 6 years ago, I bought some Reed & Barton Sterling nut or candy bowls in a "Poppy" pattern.  Silver spot price was way down and they were inexpensive.  They come in handy at holiday time to put out nuts and bonbons for my visitors.

Their value has gone way up since I bought them.  If we have a SHTF scenario, I'll be able to sell them for their silver value.

There are certain designs and patterns that are more valuable than others.

I watched a coin shop in Spring Hill, Florida on YT who will buy Sterling silverware and give you 90% of its melt value.

You can either take the cash or put it toward buying bullion or numismatic coins.

He sends his silver out to a smelter. They make silver bars out of the scrap and sends it to India and China for use in making new solar panels.

Yes, while all of that may be true, this is not sterling silver, and while pretty, it has little value. It cannot yield much actual silver no matter how it is processed.

Yes, the guys in Spring Hill, FL won't even touch silver jewelry. I guess the stuff coming from China is marked "Sterling", but is only plated.
