why are ebay sellers not shiping to po boxes? i live on a fram in the middle of nowhere the only way to get post of any kind is at our PO Box in our local town witch is over 80km away.

Sometimes people will get around the PO Box prohibition by putting in the street address of the post office where their box is located ... e.g., 123 Main Street, #304 instead of P.O. Box 304.
You might want to talk with your local P.O. first, just to ensure that they won't turn away the packages. A few years ago, there was a document that you could sign in order to authorize the P.O. to accept packages for you. Here is a link:

Because some sellers are monkey dos who have seen other sellers do it. Also because some have a vague and mostly wrong idea that po boxes are somehow risky.

When I was actively selling here and had a pkg lost that I had to refund, I turned to FedEx because it had been my experience that their tracking was far more efficient that USPS/UPS. I cannot speak for other sellers and the fact that you are registered in Australia. If I were to ship to your country, it would be USPS Express only. I know some may attack, which is fine by me, but this is my preference.
