so i was just wondering what all you sellers use to print labels.
Tell me what printer you use and the type of labels? i see printers specifically for shipping labels?
what printer, what paper is best and any info that may help me upgrade.
what i use and works fine but i think it may take a little more time. i have a regular printer and i refill the ink myself so that's cheap. i use regular paper and print on that and tape it to my box. i see lots of shipments that i receive are done on a smaller 4x4 or 4x6 sticker label.
i have recently stepped up my ebay game and now full time ebayer, i just want to utilize my time better and find it timely to tape every one on every box.

A thermal label printer is great, it produces clean professional labels and doesn't tie up your regular printer. Plus it is great for all kinds of other labeling needs.
If doing USPS only, you just need one of the low cost small printers that produce a 2.3" wide label.
For UPS, FedEx, as well as USPS, you want a 4"x6" printer. What's also nice is the packing slips can be shrunk to fit on this label size.
Printers to look at are:
Dymo - Reaonable price, higher resolution, fast, reliable, and easy to set up as it was the original ebay/PayPal compatible printer. Can also be used to print postage stamps.
Zebra - Expensive new, industry standard, not as good resolution, but reliable. A bit harder at times to get setup depending on model.
Brother QL - Reasonable price, but limited availability of various label sizes.
Rollo - Reasonable price, but the newer kid on the block.

I use a regular printer, only buy them from garage sales and have never paid more then 3 bucks. I usually only have to buy 1 or 2 ink cartridges' a year, buy a big bottle of black ink refill!! And my buddy is a janitor at a high school so I re-use only clean white paper printed on one side!! So I pay roughly $15 dollars a year to print 500-600 labels!!! The black ink refill bottle has lasted over 3 years so far!!!!

I use a cannon T 3552 model to print my ebay labels. Its a copier and printer. Works for me and was reasonable when i bought it. I wish the ink lasted a bit longer. But it works.
