I'm trying to buy a pipe threader in Virginia and get it shipped to Kansas city but the buyer is only offering local pickup. What companies if any have this service?

Both UPS and Fedex will pick up , pack and ship for a fee.  It's not cheap however.  Some moving companies will also do that to fill any empty space on their trucks.
