what are the cheapest shipping methods?

Does anybody know of a very cheap way to ship items? Obviously there are ways I am not aware of. How can somebody sell a t-shirt or something for $2 and offer free shipping?

As the previous poster stated, the seller is located in China and they can ship for pennies.

Here in the USA, the least expensive shipping is first class package which includes tracking.  A 4 oz parcel will cost $2.66 .  There is also Media Rate but your item has to qualify.

This is the 64,000$ question for all sellers.  Shipping is a huge part of the cost of doing business online.

If you have enough volume one can consider one of the 3rd party services like Stamps.com, but there is a monthly fee, so.....

Yeah, there was a  long thread on here some where where some kind eBayer posted a  link to an article explaining how the US Gubmint make some treaty that affords Chinese shippers HUGE breaks.  So once they figured that out, sure looks like they started flooding eBay with cheap stuff.

Then there are the buyers who want to "return" items they bought from China, only to discover that the cost to ship to China is orders of magnitude HIGHER than the total price they paid.
