unable to void shipping label

i recently sold an item and when i generated a shipping label, i found out it still had my old address on it. i generated a new label, but i dont have an option to void the old one. im shipping via usps and its within the five day window.

how do i fix this? should i be worried about being charged twice? will this cause paypal to not release my funds?

Re: unable to void shipping label

@catgirl420   If it was Fed Ex, UPS or ebay international standard delivery you don't need to worry as you are not charged for those labels until they are used.

If it's a USPS label that will not void from the labels management page and it's not been more than 5 days then you will need to contact CS and ask them to credit you for it.  This is a glitch I have seen reported a few times over the last week.

Contact customer service by selecting a contact method from the bottom of a help page, chat or call back are available for most topics :
https://www.ebay.com/help/-/-/Contacting_eBay_Customer_Service?id=4379

Or you can also contact customer service by sending a private message on social media. You leave a message and an eBay employee will get back to you as soon as possible. To speed things up you can leave your registered account information in the PRIVATE message: Full name, address, phone number, email address, user ID, and a brief explanation of your problem.

They may take a few days to get back to you if you use social media.

Re: unable to void shipping label

@comics-scifi-collectibles thank you very much. this might be a silly question, but do weekends count within that five day window? if so, what options do i have if its been more than five days?

also, what about paypal holding my funds? what do you know about that?

@catgirl420   There is never a silly question.

Weekends do count for the time limit to void a label.

You have no options if it's been more than 5 days.  😞

Your funds are being held because you are a new seller.

Funds are usually released about 24 business hours after tracking that you upload to ebay and paypal shows delivery.  No tracking or the item is $1 thousand over and the funds are held up to 21 days

eBay payment holds
If you're a new seller who hasn't established a selling record yet, we may put payments from your buyers on hold. You'll become an established seller when:

It's been more than 90 days since your first successful sale.
You've had more than 25 transactions and $250 in sales.

We may also hold funds for 21 days if we determine the transaction to be a risk. Category, price, and seller standing can all contribute to this decision. You can identify this by the estimated release date in the sold section of My eBay.

Re: unable to void shipping label

@comics-scifi-collectiblesthank you again! so, if im only going to be charged for one of these labels, and paypal will automatically release my funds at some point, is there anything in particular i should be concerned about?

@catgirl420   You will be charged for both labels IF it was a USPS label that you could not void because you waited too long.

Yes, your funds will be released from PayPal as I outlined above.

A word of caution if you are using Fed Ex or UPS the prices shown when you print the labels are estimates only and there may be additional surcharges when ebay bills you for the labels on your monthly invoice.

I ONLY ship using USPS because I want to know exactly what the shipping cost will be when I print the label.

Re: unable to void shipping label

Just so Everyone knows,  this is still a glitch 3 years later and has always been a "glitch" since 2015 when i started selling on eBay.  We cannot truthfully call it a "glitch" any longer,  let's call it what it really is.  Anyone?
