transport

In English:

Hello,

1: Unfortunately, I do not understand the calculation of shipping costs. I am a retailer from Hungary. I ship large packages. I have my own shipping agreements with several shipping companies. How can I select not to have eBay ship my product, but to calculate the package weight and shipping cost based on my calculations? I am only considering shipping abroad.

2: How do I select international shipping to Europe so that eBay's contracted partners ship the product? Can eBay provide cheaper shipping? Thank you for your help.

Re: transport

@perfect-acoustic,

I'm sorry, but you have misunderstood. eBay does not ship anything for their sellers, and they don't have any "contracted shippers".

You, the seller, have to ship your items yourself. Each eBay website will provide links to the shipping companies that operate in the country where that eBay website is based, which allows sellers there to use calculated shipping from those shipping countries. But, only sellers who are located in that country can use the calculated shipping.

Because there is no eBay website based in Hungary, you have to list your items on one of the other eBay websites. If you want to sell to buyers in Europe, then you should use one of the eBay websites based in Europe.

You will need to find out, by yourself, how much it will cost you to ship items to each country you want to allow shipping to. Then you will have to enter it as flat-rate, international shipping, with each buyer's country listed separately if the charges are different. Except for the country of the website you are listing on; which will be considered "Domestic" shipping. On eBay, "Domestic" shipping means shipping to the country of the website you are selling on, it does not mean shipping to your own country (i.e. Hungary) where your items are located.

Re: transport

@perfect-acoustic,

From your feedback page, it looks like you have not sold anything for more than a year. Back then you were listing items to sell on an eBay website in Europe, which is what you should do now.

However, if you haven't sold for two years or more, you should know that the payment processor has been changed. You will have to register a Managed Payments (MP) account with eBay, and provide a bank checking account. The payments you receive will be processed by MP, the final value fees and VAT paid (unless you are VAT-registered yourself, I think) will be deducted, and the resulting payout will be deposited into your checking account.

Re: transport

Thank you everyone for your help. I still have a few more questions. I see that for international shipping it is mandatory to add a shipping company under "Add services". However, I have my own shipping company which is not listed in the table. What should I choose in this case? Where can I upload the unique pricing for international shipping?

I only sell to Europe. Is there a European eBay where I can upload products in English? How can I switch eBay to require weight, size, and pricing to be specified in kg, cm, and euro?

Sorry for the many questions, but I can't find this information anywhere.

As far as I know there is only one eBay website in Europe that operates in English, and uses euro and the metric system for measurements:

eBay Ireland:  www.ebay.ie

If you list on eBay USA (www.ebay.com) then you have to allow shipping to the USA, there is no way to avoid that. So if you only want to ship to Europe, you have to use a site in Europe, such as eBay Ireland or eBay Germany.

You may also be able to use eBay UK www.ebay.co.uk, which is a much larger eBay website. I don't know how this was affected by BREXIT, but I believe that they have retained some of the retail relationship with the EU. This website uses GBP for currency though, not euros.

For your international shipping questions, since you prefer English, I would recommend that you ask on the eBay UK community, which is also used for eBay Ireland: www.community.ebay.co.uk.

Re: transport

Hello,

Thank you very much!
Could you tell me how to set up product shipping so that the shipping fee is added to each product? Currently, the system charges one shipping fee no matter how many products I put in the cart. And I can't see where to change this.
