Is anyone having this problem? The last two weeks I have had most of the packages sent not show any tracking information from the post office. This has caused several buyers to resopnd saying they want to know if we sent their items. I personally have taken the parcels to the post office so I know the p/o have them. Any solution on this issue ??

ths is a common problem.I drop mine in the chute inside the lobby befroe they open and many do not get scanned. I am OK with it because I refuse to let it get to me..If I was more concerned I would use the scan form and go into the lobby when its open but thats too much trouble for me.
the solution is to grin and bear it with a brief polite explanation to the buyer
this is a no win situation for sellers at the mercy of scans but the USPS gets them all there for me

No tracking information is not a good sign. Were the items scanned at the USPS counter?

We stand in line daily and get a scan, and watch others drop-off and leave, and we never have the problem described above. I'm sure that most packages get scanned along the way somewhere, and never have a problem, but when a problem does happen, it can make one wonder why not just stand in line and have the original scan. It is worth the extra effort for us.

I stand in line at the USPS every day to have my packages scanned by the clerk. I was attempting to help the OP by asking for info. The reason I am here is because I have no fewer than 15 packages that appear to be stuck in tracking limbo. Some of the packages were shipped 10 day to 2 weeks ago.

I dropped off 6 packages this morning in the chute.I know from experience that many of the packages in the chute like mine that are printed online will have the scan skipped.I am sort of OK with it because it does save the workers time.
I ship 40 first class packages a week and have had some of Fridays packages not get scanned until monday.I have faith in the USPS but when a buyer sees the tracking number not updating that does not help.
I just dont look at tracking but my buyers check it for sure

I think the packages I mailed will get there but are going to be extremely late. So far no buyer have contacted me concerning late delivery. I am hoping for a good outcome. But 10 day delivery time is ridiculous.

Ebay has been messing up the tracking in the past couple of weeks by showing packages as USPS waiting for the item when it already is on the way. Go to Usps.com and check the tracking number there instead. I think you will find that there are more details there that Ebay is messing up at the present time. If you find that then send your buyer a link to his package tracking on USPS and have him see the more accurate info there.

im having the same problem. i had my packages scanned as part of a scan form, but now 2.5 wks later many dont have any other scans on them and my cust are wondering what happened...

Sign-up for tracking alerts from the USPS for the tracking number. Just because some packages are not showing updates, you should still receive a text or email updates showing updates.

I have the same issue. My packages shipped around Nov 27 where in a shipping black hole until December 5 -- and they are all marked as will arrive late. My local post office is very good at scanning my packages if I drop them - I'm a regular customer. Ive spent the past hour researching on the USPS website every shipment that I have that has not been delivered. I have then sent personal emails to all of my customers. This is very upsetting to me as I always ship right away and my customers usually get their items in 2-3 days. I have more recently come across ebay tracking information that says USPS in possession of item, then the next update says pre-shipment, waiting for item. The USPS site says different information. I hope this problem is not going to continue for the month of December.

I have a package going to Ohio was supposed to be delivered 11/30.
It is now Dec. 7 and the package has been in Detroit for 5 DAYS.
The buyer is getting mad at me though i ahve had tracking updates sent to hm.

Usps is comnpletly overwhelmed with Christmas shipments and as I suspected months ago they are going to be the lousiest service to use. Expect late packages angry customers, lost packages and so much more drama from using them.

Hi, I’ve been told to expect large delays in anything going through Detroit/Allen Park locations due to COVID and staffing issues...I sympathize with you as I live in NE Ohio and ALL my packages go thru Michigan and I’m stressed out with late deliveries. I have packages with 0 tracking scans showing for almost 3 weeks now! I’ve contacted the USPS government offices to no satisfaction! After this mess, once the holidays are passed I’m seriously looking into switching to UPS and FedEx. Hang in there it HAS to get better, it sure can’t get any worse! Sorry not much help but you’re not alone!

I am a buyer and currently have several packages 3 days late and most are still way across the country.
Also, two of my previous packages had broken Pyrex in them, which necessitated more attention and follow-up.
It is not the fault of the sellers. 🌹
It’s definitely the post office and current volume issues.
I probably won’t order anything until after the holidays since the PO is so backlogged.
Sucks for all 😕
