Re: shipping

I have no idea what methods of shipping are available in Sri Lanka.

I do know the difference in the US is the time it takes to deliver. STANDARD shipping in the US to the US is USPS First Class, FedEx  or UPS Ground, and takes 2-5 days plus the seller's handling time. ECONOMY is USPS surface mail and takes 2-8 days plus the seller's handling time.

Your shipping info should be here.

What carriers are available to you?

Re: shipping

I would ignore the 'standard' and 'economy' labels and use the option that works best for you. Standard claims to deliver your mail quicker, but from experience I can tell you there is no difference.

Re: shipping

Standard, economy, and expedited are just categories that eBay made up, to sort out the various services offered by actual carriers (UPS, USPS, FedEx).  The main basis for the sorting is estimated delivery time: economy services are slower than standard services.  They also are usually cheaper.

You can see the list of all services, sorted by these categories, in the shipping section of the listing form.

Re: shipping

That is not true that there's no difference.  If you choose Economy calculated  shipping the buyer will see a longer delivery time than Standard shipping time.  There's only no difference if you're looking at delivery to yourself or  to a nearby address.

Re: shipping

I've shipped out and received a lot of packages, I can tell you with extreme confidence that there is no difference between 'standard' and 'economy'.
