shipping with a USPS workshare partner - better rates and better service!!!! Scan/Tracking question?

I am going to ship my packages through a USPS share partner.  They actually provide great service - daily pick up of my shipment at my requested time, integration with my software, USPS tracking, and all at a discount off of the USPS commercial rates.    However, my question is about the tracking or scanning.  This company picks up my shipment of packages, takes it to their facility to processes it for the USPS.  They then deliver it to the USPS dock where it is placed into the USPS delivery network.  This is all completed in hours every single day. The first tracking event each of my packages now get (after "label created") is "preprocessing scan".  Does this scan/tracking event meet Ebay's requirement for acceptance if it occurs prior to the dispatch/handling cut-off time?

Don't "partner" with any other entity for something you can do yourself. I have nothing good to say about the shipping partner experience from a buyer view:

1. Packages may have a USPS number that a shipping partner may or may not use, i.e., I am unable to track the package (neither can EBay).

2. It only adds DAYS, not "hours in one day" to ever get taken to USPS.

3. It is mishandled and crushed more times than not.

4. What should be delivered in 2-3 days (as twice I have bought items 2 hours from me) now takes 14 or so days and out of EBay's range for timely delivery. I can get items from China in 4 days.

If you value your feedback and repeat buyers, do it yourself!

What the heck is a pre-processioning scan?  Does that show up on the USPS website?

Seems like the performance metrics for sellers includes an acceptance scan, meaning a scan that shows that the item is in USPS possession.  So my guess is that "pre-processioning " doesn't mean in possession.

Blended shipping services with USPS are some of the slowest ways to ship anything.  They frustrate buyers.  I have not had a god experience with them, so I will NOT use blended services for my customers.

Like riobobkat said. It doesn't sound like a good idea. Sure you may bump from commercial rate to commercial plus, but you are adding handling by someone who ultimately will take non of the risk. Honestly what would happen if your packages DON'T get to USPS and are never scanned. Are they going to be out the cash? is it going to be their feedback that takes the hit? No and No.

I totally believe in the saying "If you want something done right do it yourself."

pack my items, I never take them to a packing service.  I  would never trust anyone but myself or my mail carrier to get my packages to USPS.
